Habibi Funk presents: "Marzipan" the first album by Beirut multi-instrumental phenomenon Charif Megarbane, also known as the man behind the successful Cosmic Analog Ensemble. The LP is a journey into Charif's style, which he calls "Lebrary": a vision of Lebanon and the Mediterranean expressed through the kaleidoscopic soundscape of library music. Charif draws on artists who embody the HF sound, such as Ziad Rahbani, Ahmed Malek and Issam Hajali, and translates these influences into an LP that is nonetheless at home in 2023. We've always wondered why Charif's music has remained under the radar for so long. That is now changing. A must for library fans!
