Mildred Virginia Jackson was born July 15th in 1944 in Georgia. She moved with her dad to New Jersey and later to her aunt in Brooklyn, New York. Here she was foto modelling and in 1964 she started performing in nightclubs plus she entered a talent contest, which she won. She often includes long spoken sections, sometimes humorous, sometimes explicit into her songs. Which gave her the name as ”the mother of hip hop”.
