A new project from Chicago-based drummer and producer Makaya McCraven. Universal Beings E&F Sides complements his critically acclaimed 2018 release Universal Beings, which, according to the New York Times, “reaffirms the drummer and beatsmith's position as an important figure in creative music”. The new work comprises fourteen fresh pieces of organic beat music cut from the original sessions. Makaya prepared and produced them as a soundtrack for the documentary Universal Beings. An absolutely impressive project - simply insanely good!
