Ukrainian jazz singer Mona is back with a powerful international funk 45. Following last year's “Moya Vode” (Sweet Water), which quickly became a favorite of the breaking community from Kiev to California, “Vogon” (Fire) continues her mission to spread a message of hope and healing through the universal power of funk. “Vogon” poetically combines ancient folk rituals with modern cypher culture and calls for unity and togetherness. Driving jazz breakbeats, epic horns and sweeping clavinet and guitar ostinati create the perfect foundation for Mona's impressive voice. Loose piano and saxophone give the track a lively jam atmosphere. The vinyl version also features an exclusive instrumental version in which a Moog synthesizer takes on the leading role.
