Compiled by legendary producer Arthur Baker, “Breakers Revenge” is a nearly complete collection of classic funk, soul, Latin, disco, and electro tracks from 1970-1984. These tracks, a combination of classics and obscurities, have become legendary among breakdancers around the world. They were first played in the 1970s and 80s at block parties in the South Bronx, community centers, and park jams, played continuously by the first three major hip-hop DJs—Kool Herc, Grandmaster Flash, and Afrika Bambaataa—and have been found in the record crates of all renowned DJs ever since.
